Journal – APA Reference List
Capitalization
- The title of article is in sentence case – Only the first word and proper nouns in the title are capitalized. Always capitalize the first word, the first word after a colon or a dash.
- The journal title is in title case – Each word in the title is capitalized, except for articles (a, an, the), prepositions (against, between, in, of, to), conjunctions (and, but, for, nor, or, so, yet), and the infinitive 'to'.
Journal – Print version
- Include issue number if the journal is paginated by issue.

Journal – Electronic version
- If possible use DOI over URL
- For electronic versions based on a print source (such as PDF), include page numbers.
- If there is no DOl assigned give the URL of the journal home page.
